A small town, Bansi is in Siddharthnagar District of Uttar Pradesh. It is situated at an altitude of 1213 ft above sea level, midway between Rudhauli and Naugarh. Jakhaura (16 km west), Bijrotha (14 km north), Paron (13 km east) and Gugarwara (18 km south) are the nearest towns.

Bansi is easily accessible by local buses from Basti, Navgarh, Rudhauli, Dumariganj and Itwa. Naugarh Railway Station serves this area. Amausi Airport at Lucknow is the nearest airport.
